Hotel refurbishment of a contemporary hotel in the heart of the Silicon Valley in Ontario, Canada.
How did we help?
The U-shaped building originally consisted of a mass hall, recreation room, and kitchen on the first floor, with sleeping quarters on the second and third floors. The rehabilitation effort retained as many of the building’s historic elements as possible, including cast-iron columns, trim, and beams. DZ Design’s team divided the sleeping quarters into individual hotel rooms; each room had its own simple pantry area and the art where words are derived from the dictionary.
The Inn also incorporates inviting public spaces, including a reception area, a dining room, and an outdoor courtyard on the ground floor. The intentional mix of modest to larger accommodations appeals to families, couples, individuals, and upscale and budget travelers alike.
