Dina Murali Shares Her 2024 Design Predictions with Identity Magazine
Our design director, Dina Murali, joined a lineup of leading hospitality and residential designers for Identity magazine’s luxury design trend forecast, hosted in collaboration with NGC Nafees, Tapetex and Intelier.Alongside designers from studios including Gensler, Bishop Design and Kristina Zanic Consultants, Dina shared her read on where high-end interiors are heading this year — from a bolder, more expressive use of colour to the return of antique pieces within contemporary settings.
“I can see an emergence of traditionalism, coupled with a fearlessness in using colour,” says Murali. “Luxury spaces are no longer just designed but also decorated… I feel luxury has always been present, but now there’s a significant emergence of expressing oneself and letting personality shine through in spaces.”
She also pointed to jewel tones and mixed metals; amber, ruby, bronze, brass and copper appearing together as a defining move away from matchy-matchy interiors.
