Commercial Interior Design Features Dina Murali’s Hospitality Design Journey
DZ Design is proud to share that our Co-founder and Design Director, Dina Murali, was featured by Commercial Interior Design in a profile exploring her journey into hospitality design and the creative approach behind her work.
The feature looks at Dina’s path from architecture into interior design and the experiences that shaped her approach to creating hospitality environments. While working in architecture, Dina was drawn to the faster pace of interior projects and the opportunity to see a space evolve from the early stages through to its final finishes.
Today, Dina leads the creative direction of DZ Design, a Dubai-based architecture and interior design studio working across hospitality, residential and commercial projects in the MENA and African regions.
Her approach to design is centred on people and experience. For Dina, successful interiors should not only function seamlessly and look beautiful, but should also reflect the identity of a brand and create meaningful experiences for the people who use them.
Under her creative direction, DZ Design has developed a portfolio spanning hotels, restaurants, wellness spaces and residential developments. The studio’s hospitality portfolio includes Amaseena at The Ritz-Carlton JBR, Sunny Wellness Spa in Sharjah Healthcare City, VEO Fitness by Emaar, Gobi at The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Semi-Sweet in Sharjah and the newly refurbished Pullman JLT.
The feature also provides an insight into Dina’s continued interest in hospitality design and the opportunities it presents to create spaces with distinctive identities and strong narratives.
